Terms of Service

Legal · Last updated: 2026-10-23

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PodPaw’s mobile apps, website (including podpaw.app and related staging hosts such as dev.podpaw.app), and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

PodPaw helps you turn articles and other reading material into audio cards you can listen to, organize, and annotate. Features may change as we improve the product.

Some features require an account (Google or Apple sign-in) and/or a paid subscription. Availability may vary by platform and region.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, or remain inactive for an extended period.

3. Acceptable use

You may only use the Service for lawful purposes. You must not: upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; attempt to break or overload the Service; scrape or misuse APIs; reverse engineer except where allowed by law; or use the Service to generate content that violates others’ rights.

You must have the rights needed for any content you submit for processing (including text-to-speech).

4. Your content and our license

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PodPaw a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including generating audio and syncing across your devices).

Feedback you provide may be used to improve PodPaw without obligation to you.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other channels we enable. Their refund and billing terms apply.

Usage limits (for example daily TTS quotas or listening budgets) may apply to free and paid tiers and can change with notice in the product.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (cloud hosting, sign-in providers, TTS providers, app stores). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Outages or changes at third parties may affect PodPaw.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Audio and AI-generated output may contain errors; you are responsible for how you use the output.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PodPaw and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 50, if no fees were paid.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or stop the Service or your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the product.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of PodPaw, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required.
